Pilates is an exercise discipline that helps to correct muscle imbalances within the body, promotes flexibility, and improves core strength and dynamic control.

It was the brainchild of Joseph Pilates at the end of the 1st world war created by fusing elements from gymnastics, yoga and dance. It has become a mainstay of rehabilitation in ballerinas and is now practised by many elite athletes.

The physiotherapists at Radius Healthcare are trained to adapt these exercises for the specific needs of all their patients. They can see you for one to one sessions or in a group and are able to accommodate a variety of needs including ante/post natal, post surgical and high level sports people.

Our classes are small and tailored to the individuals that attend. Before attending a class you will need a one to one assessment to establish your goals and the appropriate Pilates level for you.
